St. Mary Goreti-Ngetta Girls Primary School is a day and boarding school dedicated to providing education to all children, including those who are blind, physically disabled, or have other special needs. We believe in the value of inclusion and work to create an environment where every learner can grow academically, socially, and personally.
The school was founded by the Catholic Church (Verona/Comboni Missionary Sisters) in 1934 as a girl school headed by Rev. sister Zitta Barbi. Initially, it trained girls mainly in domestic science (Home economics). Later, it evolved into a fully-fledged primary school till this day
The School became government aided in 1960 and was the first boarding primary school in Lango Sub-region.
In 1970, blind annex was introduced to the school by the late Fr. Travessi, who was assited by African teachers; Mr. Anthony Ogwang and Rev. Sister Martha of Little Sisters of Mary Immaculate of Gulu
The school currently has 903 pupils and 21 teachers.
